A little islands of cosiness are hidden between the usual ancient two-story houses on the streets of Roseau, the capital of Dominica. Its flowering gardens are courted with care. Every time, when I rush to somewhere and accidentally snatch out by the view of calmness and silence reign in the garden, I realize that the time stopped there forever.

A family of Shillingford one of the most widespread and origins from an English settlers, who arrived to the Dominica in 1780. They were the owners of shops, property and business across the island and had enormous influence in the Dominica society.
