It's not a sham tsars-cannon at the Kremlin; it's a real and menacing defender of bay, which protects Scotts Head. How many times this cannon beat the pirate's brigs or its heavy formidable power scared away the unbidden visitors – this is hidden from me by ages. May be the great admiral or viceroy Don Cristobal Colon stood here, pondered to place cannons for defence of this comfortable bay in the future, they saw the same landscape what I see now. From the time of Christopher Columbus the Dominica is the one of the Caribbean islands, which have same view like at the Columbus time.
